The Uffizi Gallery

The Accademia
At the Accademia the highlight is the world famous original Statue of David by Michelangelo, and next would be paintings by Gaddi. It also features a large collection of Renaissance paintings, but is most recognized for the sculptures of Michelangelo including the Palerstria Pieta.
Very Important Tip: Reserve your tickets far in advance. Without a reservation the lines are awful.
The Baptistery
Deemed as one of the oldest monuments in Florence, the Baptistery is an important religious building. Located across from Florence Cathedral and the Campanile di Giotto, its front exterior features three arches that are decorated with sculptures and marble designs. Even the doors are gilded in bronze and date back to the 14th and 15th century. They are certainly pieces of art before you walk through.
Gallery of Modern Art
Florence is so widely recognized for its Renaissance period masterpieces that lots of individuals dismiss the fact that the Gallery of Modern Art contains 18th, 19th and 20th century works that are comparatively modern. The Gallery founded in 1914 and located on the second floor of the Pitti Place. Art enthusiasts will find pieces of art by Ussu, Fattori, Vannutelli, Cezanne, and Grassi.
The Horne Museum
Designated from the English art collector Herbert P. Horne, this museum integrates art with the Italian Renaissance period. The decor ideas and finishing touches together with the architecture are a representation of this deep era. The Silver Museum
This museum with great frescoed rooms in the Pitti Palace features an interesting collection of objects from the various dynasties ranging from the Medici through the Lorraine. Known officially as Museo degli Argenti, there is nice diversity in the jewelry, gems, and various art objects. These are all from eras in time when a rich life and extravagance were the norm. Perhaps the most valuable pieces stored are the collection of age-old vases by Lorenzo the Magnificent.
